i wasn’t planning on accepting, but thanks for the explanation anyway
Man it sure would be nice if I could get some sleep tonight. ha ha ha
The PSM told me she would send me the run book tonight. I’ve been home for like five hours…
I really hope she gets it to me first thing in the morning, because I have no idea what I’m doing, and I have to run this track on my own tomorrow. I shadowed it today, but I’ve never ever been on run crew for a show I didn’t already know intimately. I don’t know how much I trust myself. I need those notes!!!
“Thank You Hater!” by Clever Pie and Isabel Fay
Just got home from my first performance of Home of the Soldier at Synetic. I’ll be on deck for both Saturday and Sunday’s shows, and probably a few more after that.
It’s a good show, but definitely needs a trigger warning. It exists in no real time and place, and follows a soldier through boot camp and into war. No specific war, and in fact I would guess it’s more eastern Europe than middle east. So it has that going for them! It’s not overtly Islamophobic!
But it does have lots of guns, loud noises (gunshots, explosions, and helicopters), death imagery, suicide, and rape. So, yeah. Not exactly a light evening out at the theatre.
Don’t come in expecting to have a good time. But come in expecting a brutal war story, and you won’t be disappointed.

Is it strange that Ginny Weasley reminds me of Kristen Stewart in the sense that no matter how awesome and badass she is, a few poorly written/directed movies will forever dictate whether or not people accept her.

Look, guys. No matter what a girl does, no matter how she’s dressed, no matter how much she’s had to drink, it’s never, never, never, never, never okay to touch her without her consent. That doesn’t make you a man, it makes you a coward.
